Mats & Mirza Make it Easier
Swede-Wheel has been active during the Silly Season and has managed to secure, not one but two(!) new Key Account Managers for the Sales Department. Both of them will work towards exports where Mats will be responsible for OEM customers while Mirza focuses on dealers. We are incredibly grateful that they both have chosen to join us. A warm welcome to Swede-Wheel!

Welcome Mats and Mirza! What did you do before you joined Swede-Wheel?
Mats: I worked as a traveling salesperson in the turning industry for 20 years, mostly in Europe.
Mirza: I previously worked in sales for 14 years, initially in retail and most recently in car sales. In recent years, I've worked exclusively in B2B, which is actually how I first encountered Swede-Wheel.
Why did you choose to apply to Swede-Wheel?
Mirza: I've been working in this area for a long time and have been in contact with many different companies. I've always had a very positive image of Swede-Wheel, both from when i worked with Swede-Wheel but also from what people say.
Mats: As a technology enthusiast, I was drawn to Swede-Wheel having its own production, manufacturing its own tools, and owning the entire process. I find it exciting to work close to the technology!
In what ways do you think your different experiences will complement each other?
Mirza: As I mentioned, I have a long experience in sales but never in the manufacturing industry. I am convinced that Mats and his technical background will be a great help. I am used to short sales processes where a deal starts and finishes within a week, which I don't think is typical for this industry, where projects are larger and require more time.
Mats: Mirza has experience in building relationships with many new and different people, which I believe will be very useful when we are out in Europe where many faces are new.
What do you think will be the biggest challenges for you?
Mats: My biggest challenge will be learning about products and materials, especially plastics, which I have never worked with before. But I'm looking forward to delving into something new!
Mirza: Of course, it will take time to learn about the products, but it will also be a challenge for me to get into the "swing of things," so to speak. I will be handling much more complex deals than before, but as Mats said, I too am looking forward to learning it!
Mats: I think we will get into it quickly. There's a lot of knowledge here.
Mirza: I agree. Many people here have been in the industry for many years, which makes it easier for us newcomers!
What is the most important quality to have as a Key Account Manager?
Mirza: I think being attentive is important, always being alert and understanding what the customer wants.
Mats: I agree. Being curious is also an advantage!
How do you think your work will look in 15 years?
Mats: Obviously, technology will have evolved. We probably won't be sending quotes in PDF, but maybe using some kind of Vision file with a hologram that shows the product on some sort of tablet!
Mirza: A lot will change, but I still think that customer relationships will be important, perhaps even more so than today!
Mats: Travel will decrease! After the pandemic, we've noticed that a lot can be resolved digitally. Teams is a fantastic tool, but it will probably never completely replace physical meetings.
