ESD-wheels

Our range of electrically conductive ESD castors is designed to prevent the buildup of static charge on a cart. If you need to safely transport sensitive electronic equipment without risking exposure to an electric shock, it is essential to dissipate the static electricity through the cart, into the castors, and further into the floor. Of course, the floor must also be conductive to effectively dissipate the charge.

Electrically conductive wheels

A significant portion of the wheel range produced in Hillerstorp is available in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) versions. For our ESD castors, they are equipped with grey PA6 hubs and a grey TPE tread. Previously, our ESD wheels were black, but they have been updated to ensure they are non-marking and to align with market standards. Additionally, our range of ball-bearing industrial castors in Ø100-200mm also features a grey color.

ESD wheels are specifically designed to prevent the buildup of static electricity on a cart. To safely transport sensitive electronic equipment without risking exposure to an electric shock, it is crucial to dissipate static electricity through the cart, into the wheels, and further into the floor. Naturally, the floor must also be conductive to effectively dissipate the charge.

Our ESD wheels have a maximum resistance of 1 MΩ.

Variations

As always, and it's worth repeating, you can get all the mentioned variations in any color combinations you desire. Our standard TPE 85° Shore A is also available in solid black, which has gained popularity in 2019. In this case, it can be combined with a black-painted bracket. And since we've mentioned five different variations, let's also mention the sixth, which is a hard wheel made of pure PP.
