Izet makes it easier

We welcome Izet to the Swede-Wheel team! Izet comes in with great experience in environment & quality, which fits well as that is what he will work with here! Tell Izet, what have you done before you came to Swede-Wheel?

I've done quite a lot before I started at Swede Wheel. Especially in the manufacturing industry where I have held several different roles over the years. Everything from machine operator and adjuster to logistics managers and in recent years quality managers. I have also worked a lot with the union. Negotiation, planning, implementing, and following up various trainings and lectures aimed at both schools and workplaces in the region.

How do your previous jobs differ from now?

It is a lot about the processes. At my previous workplace, there was a lot of focus on wire and surface treatment where you had everything from wire drawing and bending to zinc surface treatment and powder coating, all under one roof. Although the products and processes differ, there are many similarities. The job is still about developing and improving our processes to be able to offer our customers the best possible service and offer products that meet or, most of all, exceed customer expectations.

Why did you choose to come to Swede-Wheel?

I got a very good impression of the company already on the first visit. There is a lot of knowledge and a strong will to develop. In addition, it is a family business with very committed owners. Swede-Wheel is in a very exciting phase with great opportunities ahead that also brings new challenges, and I am really looking forward to being part of the team during that journey.

What will the quality work look like in the future?

We have a lot of exciting things ahead of us regarding the quality work at Swede-Wheel. It's a lot about honing our quality assurance procedures. For me personally, it is important to involve as many people as possible in this work. As I mentioned earlier, there is alot of knowledge and experience that we should benefit from in our work.

The goal is for our customers to feel safe with our products and services and see Swede-Wheel as more than just a supplier in the crowd. The demands are constantly increasing in terms of both quality and the environment. In addition, recent price increases for everything from materials to freight and energy have led to possible quality deficiencies becoming even more costly, as well as deficiencies in efficiency. I believe that companies that do not take these challenges seriously will have a tougher time in the future.

What is the best part of your job?

The most fun thing about working with quality and the environment is that it is so varied and developing. Above all, I value the opportunity to develop together with other people. In my role, you get to work together with almost the entire organization with a number of different tasks. It also means some contact with our customers and suppliers.

What do you want to get better at?

Padel, it's something I've been really hooked on lately.

Favorite food?

Difficult question, I have grown up with friends from several different countries and thus got to taste a lot of dishes from different cultures. If we stick to regular home cooking, a good pyttipanna is hard to beat.

Do you have any hidden talent?

I'm awesome at pancakes!

Will you make your New Year's resolution in 2022?

Definitely.

Dream car?

Given today's fuel and electricity prices, preferably a car that runs on air or water.
