Robert Meglič, the company's procurator and a member of the owning family, shares his inspiring story.
A family tradition
Robert begins by explaining how the journey started, emphasising that the family's ownership history and values are central to the company’s identity:
“The company’s history begins with Kovinarstvo Viljem Meglič over five decades ago.”
He recounts how the founders recognised the potential to modernise production processes and integrate international standards to improve competitiveness. This fusion of tradition and innovation has driven the company’s development, ensuring that Pro Meglič can meet the high demands and needs of various industries.
From local to global
The company’s evolution has been impressive, marked by several key milestones along the way.
“We became certified according to ISO 9001 as early as 1995. Less than ten years later, we met IATF 16949, and recently, in 2024, we updated our ISO 9001 certificate,”
Pro Meglič has also invested in advanced technologies such as laser and CNC machining, which have opened doors to new markets.
“It is essential for us to always stay one step ahead in development,” he continues.
Pro Meglič possesses extensive expertise and offers everything from components to medical technology products and logistics trolleys.
“Our clients include automotive manufacturers, the construction industry, retail, and medical aids,” Robert clarifies.
Sustainability in focus
One of the company’s most exciting aspects is its commitment to sustainability. Robert reveals that they installed a solar power system back in 2012.
“This investment has significantly reduced our carbon footprint and covers 60 per cent of our energy needs,” he says proudly.
Collaboration and partnership
In the past two years, Pro Meglič has collaborated with Swede-Wheel.
