Hans-Joachim Schnur - Main man of our german expansion
Mr. Schnur is the MD of Swede-Wheel GmbH and has taken on the role of leading a new chapter in the Swede-Wheel history, more specifically the role of starting an expansion in to Germany trough Swede-Wheel GmbH. Mr. Schnur has extensive and in many ways impressive background in the wheels and castors industry.
Mr. Schnur. Let’s get straight into it - What was it that attracted you to join the Swede-Wheel team and to take on the leading role in this expansion?
For me it is an exciting challenge to establish Swede Wheel in Germany. After 37 years in leading positions in the Caster and Wheel Industry, I want to take this opportunity. The decisive factors for me were the competent team, the high degree of automation in production and a future-oriented product portfolio.
Can you tell us a little bit about your history in the industry?
You can imagine, it’s a long story. My career in the Caster- and Wheel Industry started at Hülsbeck & Fürst. At that time, we manufactured high-quality casters for wheelchairs, for example. Next station I made a significant contribution to making Räder-Vogel the market leader for Vulkollan wheels for the forklift industry. These kinds of wheels continued to define my working life.
What is Swede-Wheels primary strengths and what do you hope to add to the mix?
As I already mentioned, the company’s concept convinced me to contribute to the future of Swede Wheel and to contribute my experience and competence. We are well prepared for the challenges of the Material Handling Industry and innovative enough to break new ground.
How do you see the industry developing in the D.A.CH. region going forward and what value do you see Swede-Wheel adding?
The requirements of Material handling Systems have been steadily increasing for many years. Especially in the D/A/CH economic region, high demands are placed on the Materials Flow within companies. With our wide range of castors and wheels, we help to movement easier. Our R & D -Department and the full sales team is constantly working on new Castors-Systems, which are also used in automated flow of materials.
