Get to know our new market communicator, William Lind
We welcome our new Marketing Communicator William Lind to Swede-Wheel and Hillerstorp! We sat down and talked for a while to get to know him a little better.

William, you've been here just over four weeks, what are your thoughts so far?
I've got a nice impression of Swede-Wheel. The very first thing that struck me was the cool machines there are here! I have no great experience in the manufacturing industry so to see a floor full of super smart robotic arms, along with even smarter people behind the levers, producing wheels was incredibly awesome! The first two weeks I got to hang out with different people at the company which has given me a good insight in a short time. Above all, I understood how much competence there is inside the walls here, there are great number of people who have worked here for a long time which I value.
What did you do before you got to Swede-Wheel?
I spent my first 23 years outside Gothenburg but then moved to Jönköping to study marketing communication. After graduating i did two years in the paint industry where I worked with sales and marketing.
What does your everyday life look like here at Swede-Wheel?
I have a broad role which means that my days are very varied. A large part involves nurturing our web, there is always something to polish on, a product to photograph or texts to translate. I also create content for all our social media channels, newsletters and of course web. In between, I also work with development work, I find new ways that the Swede-Wheel brand can grow and strengthen.
What do you do when you're not working?
If you ask me, I spend time with my partner but if you ask her, she will probably say that i sit and play on the computer haha. Games have always been a big part of my life and although it has not been as much in later years, I try to pull off a couple of hours on the weekend! A new interest I found last winter is cross-country skiing. The combination of an incredible winter and the restrictions on indoor sports made it a perfect activity. In March I slide myself all the way from Sälen to Mora in Vasaloppet!
Five quick ones:
What do you want to improve at?
Right now, I want to get better on LinkedIn. I've never really got my head around that channel but wish I could do it better. You're welcome to add me to your network!
What would you like to be known for?
Rock star, for sure!
Do you have any talent?
I am active in the stand-up scene where I both run events and perform myself. I guess it's possible to ask how much talent there is when no one's heard of you haha...
Planning or spontaneity?
A nice mix. You could call it organized chaos, that's where I thrive!
Where are you going for vacation?
For the last two, restrictive, years I have been hiking in Fulufjället National Park here in Sweden, I can really recommend that! Otherwise, I have a soft spot for Eastern Europe.
