Albin makes it Easier
Here we gain insight into Albin's background, his journey before joining Swede-Wheel, and his thoughts on work and the future. Read on to get to know him better and find out what drives him in his role as Supply Chain Manager.

Hi Albin, tell us a bit about yourself!
Sure, I'd love to! I'm a driven guy in my early thirties with roots on the other side of the bog. I have 6 guitars, 2 daughters, 1 wife, and we all live together on the outskirts of Värnamo. When I cross over to this side of the bog, I do so as the Supply Chain Manager.
What were you up to before joining Swede-Wheel?
For 5 years, I worked in various roles within logistics and procurement for Thule Group, my last role being a category buyer for plastics.
Why did you choose to come to Swede-Wheel?
I've seen the company in various contexts and always had a positive impression. When I was considering the next step in my career, Swede-Wheel offered an incredibly exciting challenge, which I grabbed with both hands. I was given just one restriction: don't change the coffee supplier!
What’s the best thing about working at Swede-Wheel?
Our CEO Andreas often says that we can't mandate a good atmosphere, but we can do our best to foster it. This mindset permeates the company, which I really appreciate! Additionally, I love to get things moving, and that's the company's mission, so it's a perfect match!
What are the biggest challenges in your job?
Getting good prices often comes with large order volumes and, consequently, large inventories. My biggest challenge is to constantly balance these goals to achieve the best outcome for the company.
How has your job changed from 3 years ago?
The pandemic and global uncertainties have painfully reminded us how disruptions in world trade can affect our operations. At the same time, we have become increasingly aware of sustainability, both as a company and as individuals. These two factors together have led to a greater focus on local supply chains, which has significantly impacted my job – a huge advantage for us who focus on European production!
Five quick questions:
Who is your idol/inspiration?
John Mayer and Luke Combs are two musical inspirations, though I have a long way to go to reach their level.
Do you have any hidden talents?
No, they tend not to stay hidden for long.
What do you want to improve at?
Playing the guitar, and as my colleague Markus said, preferably without practicing!
What was your dream job as a child?
Goalie for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
What do you think is the most important quality in a colleague?
I appreciate colleagues who get things done, and if they can also contribute to a good atmosphere, that's perfect!
