Get to know Aibin, MD of Swede-Wheel Ningbo
Mr. Aibin Wan is the MD of Swede-Wheel Ningbo Co. Ltd. and is leading the Ningbo team through the investment in growing both our production capacity and working to win market shares in the Asian and Pacific markets. Below you’ll get the chance to get to know Aibin and our Ningbo operations a little bit better.
Before we get into the work you do with Swede-Wheel, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I graduated from Jiangsu University in 2003 where I did my major in engineering. Since school I’ve always worked with European operations. I first did 10 years with a Dutch company and then 8 years in a Swedish company, both in the industrial sector.
You’ve now been leading the Ningbo team for approx. a year. What are the biggest takeaways from the past year?
The past year was a very interesting year for us. We did a lot of investments in our own production and more specifically our stamping production. Practically this meant a move to new location to fit our new machines, but a new factory was not the only thing that got built 2021, the most work was to build a great team! Today we have an awesome team in Ningbo, without it we wouldn’t be able to do this but now we can achieve great things 2022 and even greater in the future.
What is Swede-Wheels primary strengths and what do you hope to refine ever more going forward?
Swede-Wheel is a company with vast experience in the wheel industry and especially the manufacturing of wheels. Together with our Ningbo team we want to take this knowledge to further expand our service to the Asian market. Our new investments are also enabling provide a better solution for our already existing customers.
How do you see the industry developing in the Asian/Pacific region going forward and what value do you see Swede-Wheel adding?
The Asia/Pacific region has been growing rapidly for a time now and I foresee that the growth will continue, maybe not as rapidly, but at a more stable rate. The questions that before was asked about quantity has now change to quality, sustainability, and long-term partnerships. Our European backbone, that comes with European quality, make Swede-Wheel Ningbo a more than viable player to answer these questions.
